Case Study — Full Funnel

Five Jobs A Year.
Then Six In A Month.

A Melbourne builder doing decks, pergolas and renovations across the northern suburbs. Plenty of leads, almost no jobs. The problem wasn't the ads. It was everything after the ads.

01
The Situation

1,000 Leads.
Five Jobs.

When we took over the account, the previous marketing company had been running it for twelve months. Around $12,000 in ad spend. Roughly 1,000 leads. Five booked jobs.

On paper the campaign looked fine — cost per lead was low and the report every month said so. But the leads were low-intent, nobody was calling them quickly, and the ones who did get a call were price-shopping across three builders. The owner was paying for a pipeline he couldn't convert and had started to believe Meta just didn't work for his trade.

The real number was cost per booked job: about $2,400. On a deck or pergola that's most of the margin gone before a tool comes out of the ute.

02
What We Changed

Fewer Leads.
Better Ones. Called Fast.

  • Offer and creative rebuilt around finished work — real project photos from the northern suburbs, specific project types, a clear next step. No generic "get a free quote" ad.
  • Qualifying lead form — project type, suburb, timing and budget range asked up front. Fewer submissions, far fewer tyre-kickers.
  • Every lead called within the hour — by us, not by the owner between jobs. Qualified, then booked straight into his calendar for a site visit.
  • Reporting switched to booked jobs — cost per lead stopped being the headline. Cost per booked site visit and cost per job became the numbers we managed to.

This is the Full Funnel plan: the campaign, the form, the calls and the bookings, run by one person who's accountable for the last number, not the first.

03
The Result

Six Booked Jobs.
First Month.

Six jobs booked in the first month — more than the previous twelve months combined. Same business, same trade, same suburbs. The difference was what happened between the click and the calendar.

If this sounds like your account: a low cost per lead, a full inbox, and almost nothing converting is the most common situation we walk into. It's rarely a targeting problem. Book a call and we'll tell you what the numbers say.
